When Tools Are Your Only Friends

Digital tools (and I mean that literally and figuratively) promise to make our lives easier and better, but through experience we have learned that does not mean fuller, richer and more meaningful.

The digital world has a lot of commotion and busyness that appears to be important.  Initially it feels exhilarating to be at the center of your own carefully crafted, ultra-safe universe.  But at the end of each day it leaves us terribly LONELY with fewer REAL friends.

Our REAL universe needs friends that are willing to spend time and effort to love us.  Cheap encouragement, cheap sympathy, and hurried, ill-conceived comments don't satisfy.

How did we get here? And more importantly, how do we get out?
